AU Champion for Maternal and Child Health — Go the Extra Mile

The Champion’s call

What extra mile will you go?

The extra mile is the distance between what we already know saves a life and the woman or child who has not yet received it. It is divisible: presidents, midwives, fathers and students each close a different part of it.

Your next check-ups

Enter one date and this works out when your visits fall. Nothing is stored unless you ask for reminders.

Which date do you know?

This is general guidance based on World Health Organization recommendations. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace a health worker. National schedules differ — always confirm with your clinic.

Step 1 of 4: Who you are

Where the extra mile is being walked

No pledges have been recorded yet. Yours would be the first.

Every pledge here is real and counted once. We record the country and the role and nothing else — no name, no message, no contact detail — so there is nothing on this page that could identify anyone who took part.
